Myanmar Appoint Former Lebanon Coach Miodrag Radulovic

Myanmar have appointed former Lebanon coach Miodrag Radulovic to take charge ahead of the side’s 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign.

Radulovic replaces German coach Antoine Hey, who was sacked as the side’s senior and U23 national team coach after failing to make it out of the group stage of the 2018 AFF Suzuki Cup.

The Montenegrin now takes the reigns after leading Lebanon to their first ever AFC Asian Cup, where they finished third in Group E, narrowly missing out on qualification to the knockout stage, ranking below Vietnam by the smallest possible margin of two disciplinary points.

The 51-year-old will be tasked with closing the gap between Myanmar and some of the more established sides in South-East Asia, starting with their World Cup Qualifying Campaign in September 2019.
