Just days after Andres Iniesta announced his goodbye to Barcelona, there have already been speculations about his next destination. A report from China says that one Chinese club is willing to spend 81 million Euro to bring in Iniesta next season.
The said club is Chongqing Dandai Lifan, which competes in Chinese Super League. The Southern club, managed by former Portugal national team head coach Paulo Bento, is brave enough to make Iniesta their target so that they can gain popularity.
Spanish news outlet Marca reported that Chongqing Lifan have contacted Iniesta and put up an offer worth of 27 million euro per season. As they want to give him a three-year contract, Iniesta will become the third highest paid player in the world in a move which would see the former World Cup winner trousering a staggering 81 million euro.
Besides the mega-money offer, the club is also willing to buy six million wine bottles from his family’s company -Bodega Iniesta. The company was founded by his father, Jose Antonio Iniesta, and has run since 1990.
It is said that Chongqing Lifan will value each bottle for six euro. That means his company will make 36 million Euro for selling their products to the Chinese club.
