Fernando Torres has rejected his move to Chinese Super League and been reportedly keen on a move to the MLS instead.
Earlier this month, Torres announced that he would be leaving boyhood club Atletico Madrid for the second time in his career at the end of the season.
According to Marca, the former Spain international prefers to ply his trade in the U.S, instead of making a move to the Far East.
Marca also claims that five MLS teams are interested in Torres’ signature, namely New York City, Chicago Fire, Montreal Impact, Sporting Kansas City and Seattle Sounder.
This season, Torres’ role at Atleti has been reduced significantly with the arrival of Diego Costa.
The 34-year-old will have six more league matches for Atletico, along with the two-legged Europa League semi-final against Arsenal.
