Fallout from the ongoing Thai-Cambodia border conflict continues to ripple through Southeast Asian football, with top Cambodian Premier League (CPL) clubs Phnom Penh Crown FC and Nagaworld FC suspending their kit partnerships with Thai sportswear manufacturers.
Phnom Penh Crown, who had been sponsored by Warrix since 2023, announced the suspension of their agreement, which had succeeded a previous deal with fellow Thai brand FBT. Meanwhile, Nagaworld FC ended their long-standing association with FBT, a partnership that began in 2013 during the club’s Nagacorp FC era and had lasted over a decade.
Both clubs confirmed that their agreements with the Thai manufacturers have been put on hold, citing the ongoing political situation. In the interim, they have resorted to using kits from the previous season in their pre-season fixtures as they search for new apparel suppliers.
Another CPL side, Boeung Ket Angkor FC, continues to be outfitted by Thai-based Ego Sport, although the club has yet to release any official statement regarding the status of their partnership in light of the recent geopolitical tensions.
Currently, six of the 11 CPL teams are turning to Cambodia-based kit manufacturers for the 2025/26 season. NT Sport outfits four clubs—Angkor Tiger, ISI Dangkor Senchey, Kirivong Sok Sen Chey, and Life Sihanoukville—while Dai Ek Sport supplies Tiffy Army and Forward Sportswear equips Visakha FC.
Defending champions Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng have already made the switch from FBT to Spanish brand Kelme ahead of the 2025 season. Meanwhile, newly rebranded MOI Kompong Dewa are expected to don kits made by Indonesia-based DRX Wear.
