PSG are hitting the headlines again, this time for reportedly jumping to the front of the queue in the race currently hotting up between the elitist European clubs to sign Erling Haaland. Not surprisingly, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that his super agent Mino Raiola is expecting a super massive salary in the region of €50m-a-year for his young supremely-in-demand charge, not forgetting the ginormous commissions for himself, of course.
Reports allege that Borussia Dortmund rejected several offers for the the young and superhot Norwegian striker this summer, including some in the region of €120m, and the 21-year-old can just stroll out of the Bundesliga giants gates with numerous suitors willing to pay his €75m release clause over the summer and PSG are apparently in pole position to secure his services.
The scenario is not entirely unexpected for PSG as it is widely believed that Kylian Mbappé is expected to move to Real Madrid on a free transfer at the end of the season and Haaland has been identified as the perfect replacement for the 2018 France World Cup winner.
The report also states that his agent Mino Raiola would request a salary in the region of €50m-a-year for his client plus commissions as Haaland’s price tag would be ‘lower’ than his actual transfer value were it not for the transfer release clause.
Raiola has of course already made a nifty sum from having done business with PSG over Gigio Donnarumma, who joined the Ligue 1 giants on a free transfer from Milan in the summer.
Scorer of 68 goals in 67 games with Borussia Dortmund, Haaland could join the league of superstars and the Messi, Neymar and Mbappe strike force at the Parcs des Princes at the end of the season.
What a thought!
