Lionel Messi could leave Barcelona after all as agents instructed to find luxury home closer to Paris

Last summer it appeared inevitable and almost a foregone conclusion that Lionel Messi would be leaving Barcelona in a huff, but the subsequent turnaround in form and positive vibes at Camp Nou appeared to have changed that.

However the latest blip on their monitor looks like they’ve almost thrown the La Liga title away with some disastrous results in recent games, and that’s thrown Messi’s future back into the loop, with the latest news emerging that he’s instructed his agents to look for a house closer to the Parisian capital, reports Le 10 Sport.

Of course there could be worry-free reasons for this as he might just be fancying purchasing a summer holiday house in France, but again the tell-tale signs could well be saying otherwise, adding to Barcelona’s anxieties.

The news report says the Argentinian’s agents have been specifically instructed to find him luxury accommodation near the French capital ahead of a potential move to PSG, and this looks credible as Neymar has already affixed his signature to his contract extension. Furthermore, Kylian Mbappe looks like he may be gearing up to leave the Parc-des-Princes.

The suggestion is that Messi’s future at the Nou Camp is still very uncertain and he’s yet to agree an extension despite talks having been started between Messi’s camp and Joan Laporta, so the move to PSG is indeed very possible.

This also depends on what happens with Mbappe as the club, although affluent, may struggle to pay all three under the same roof.
