Korean Star Hwang In-Beom Signs for Rubin Kazan

Korea national team star Hwang In-Beom has signed for Russian side Rubin Kazan from Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS

Hwang has joined the Russian side on a permanent transfer from the Whitecaps, for a deal which is reportedly worth €2.5m.

The 23-year-old came through the ranks at his hometown club Daejeon Citizen, before making the move across the pacific to Vancouver in January 2019.

Since joining the MLS side, Hwang has become a fan favorite at the club and significantly raising his profile. The energetic midfielder played in every one of the Whitecaps’ 31 regular-season games during the 2019 campaign.

Now joining a new league once again, Hwang will be hoping that the move can help him raise his profile in Europe. Rubin Kazan has just begun their 2020-21 Russian League season and will be hoping to improve on their mid-table finishes during the past three seasons.
