La Liga Targets June 12th Restart

The Spanish La Liga is reportedly hoping to restart the competition on June 12th behind closed doors.

According to this report from BBC Sport, the league’s president Javier Tebas has set the target date and is enacting protocols to ensure the safety of players once the league restarts.

As per the same report, players across Spain’s top two divisions were tested, with five returning positive and have since been self-isolated.

According to Tebas, these numbers represent positive signs and show that the return of professional football in Spain could be around the corner.

Players will soon be allowed to return to training in phases, first with individual and then with group training.
