Former Persepolis Captain Sheys Rezaei claimed his former boss Ali Daei wanted him to be the team’s spy during his time on Tehran giant’s bench.
Daei had a history with Rezaei during his career as a player and Persepolis former number 13 claimed this led to a bigger confrontation when Iranian legendry striker took the Reds’ reign.
“My problem with Mr Daei had started from Persepolis match against Saipa in 2007. I wasn’t a player who let opponents’ forwards to score easy but he didn’t expect to be that tough with him.” Rezaei told to Anten.com.
“When he took charge at Persepolis, there were players who called him to say good night but I had not been such person. He took the my armband because I didn’t accept to be dressing room’s spy.”
