Jose Mourinho Appointed Manager of Tottenham Hotspur

Former Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has been appointed as the new coach of Tottenham Hotspur.

His appointment follows the dismissal of Mauricio Pochettino, who parted ways with the club just hours earlier.

Having won three Premier League titles and two Champions League trophies during his time across Europe’s top clubs, Mourinho has established himself as an elite manager. The Portuguese boss first arrived on English shores to take charge of Chelsea, after achieving unprecedented success with FC Porto.

Establishing himself as a legend over two spells with Tottenham’s rivals Chelsea, Mourinho also went on to win a treble with Italian side Inter Milan and challenge Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona during his time at Real Madrid.

Mourinho takes over a Spurs side currently languishing in 14th place, having only collected 14 points after 12 games. He has signed a contract that runs through to the end of the 2022-2023 season and will be tasked with ending the club’s trophy drought in the coming seasons.
