Ali Alipour became Persepolis best goal-scorer in Pro league era

With hat-trick against Shahin Boushehr, Ali Alipour became Persepolis best goal-scorer in Iran Pro-league era.
Alipour who won Iran league top goal-scorer award in 2017-18 season had started the current season in a bad form and didn’t score any goal in first 7 weeks.

But in Persepolis convincing 5-0 win over Shahin Boushehr, he netted a hat-trick and took his tally to 47 goals in Pro league era, one goal above current Rio Ave striker Mehdi Taremi.

Alipour had been a fringe player before Taremi’s departure but then he became Persepolis’ talisman and helped them to win two successive domestic titles with 33 goals in aggregate.

he also was one of the club’s instrumental players in last season AFC Champions league campaign which ended in heart-breaking defeat against Japan Urawa Reds in final.
