Persepolis winger suspended for clash in Tehran Derby

Iran football federation disciplinary committee announced Persepolis winger Farshad Ahmadzadeh will be suspended for his role in ugly scenes of Tehran derby.

Persepolis beat their old rival Esteghlal 1-0 on Sunday in a hard-fought encounter and Ahmadzadeh played the main role in quarrel between players of two teams in the last minutes of the match.

After Siavash Yazdani’s heavy tackle on Persepolis midfielder Siamak Nemati, Ahmadzadeh Attacked Esteghlal defender and this was the start of a big clash between the players that finally ended with intervening of referees and staffs.

Now the disciplinary committee announced that Ahmadzadeh will be suspended temporary from all competitions until further notice.

Shoja Khalilzadeh, Aref Gholami, Siavash Yazdani and Mohammad Hosseini have also been charged by the disciplinary committee.
