French club Amiens admitted that Iranian attacking midfielder Saman Ghoddos has been suspended for 4 months by Football governing body FIFA due to breaking contract terms with Spanish club Huesca.
Ghoddos has joined to Amiens in summer 2018 after his previous club Ostersunds had reached to agreement with Huesca but he refused to sign the contract.
“The player was ordered to pay compensation to SD Huesca and sporting sanctions were imposed on him and Ostersunds,” FIFA said in an email, adding that “the decision is not yet final and binding”.
In addition to suspension, Ghoddos and Ostersunds have to pay four million euros in compensation to Huesca, while they have 21 days to appeal.
Meanwhile Amiens announce the support of Ghoddos who has been their key player in their battle against relegation:” The club deplores the heavy sanctions imposed on Saman and intends to support him morally in this delicate period.”
