Iran Asian Players in Europe

Iranian midfielder Ezatolahi joined Belgian club Eupen

Iran national team Midfielder Saeed Ezatolahi has joined Belgian club Eupen on a one year loan move from Rostov.

Ezatolahi who had played for Iran at 2018 World Cup, has been on loan in Championship club Reading last season but missed majority of the season due to injury.

Eupen is Ezatolahi’s fourth club in 4 years after Anzhi Makhachkala, Amkar and Reading.

Eupen general director, Christoph Henkel, said:” Saeed has proved his qualities in Russian league and Iran national team. He played at World cup against Spain and Portugal. He is just 22 but has played 28 matches for Iran national team and I’m sure he can help Eupen.”

Eupen had recruited another Iranian international player Morteza Poualiganji last season but he departed just after six months.
