Persepolis goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand has been named the Iran League Player of the Season.
Iran international Beiranvand has helped Persepolis to secure the Iran league title for the third season in the bounce with 16 clean sheetsin 23 matches.
He held off strong challenges from teammate Jalal Hosseini and Esteghlal right back Voria Ghafori to be the 2018-19 winner.
Beiranvand has also won the goalkeeper of the season award ahead of Esteghlal’s Seyed Hossein Hosseini and Sepahan’s Payam Niazmand.
Other individual award winners are: Jalal Hosseini (defender, Persepolis), Mehdi Kiani (midfielder, Sepahan), Kiros Stanlley and Luciano Pereira (striker, Sepahan and Sanat-e Naft), Allahyar Sayadmanesh (young talent, Esteghlal) and Branko Ivankovic (manager, Persepolis).
