Esteghlal in verge of signing former Fiorentina left back

Tehran Club Esteghlal announced that Croatian defender Hrvoje Milic will be in Tehran on Sunday to undergo medical tests ahead of his likely transfer to the Blues.

Milic who played for Crotone in Italy second division last season, had worn Fiorentina, Olympiacos and Rostov colors too. He has also managed 6 caps for Croatia against Argentina, Portugal, South Korea, Switzerland, Malta and Liechtenstein. The Croatian is a left back but he also can play as left winger.

Esteghlal have recruited ex-Inter Milan manager Andrea Stramaccioni in this summer and he is trying to strengthen his side with Italy-based players.

They have already signed former Benevento striker Cheick Diabaté and was considering move for Lecce forward Stefano Pettinari.

Tehran Blue giant have not won Iran league title since 2013 and they now want to end their old rival Persepolis’s reign who won 3 titles in last three seasons.
