Height can sometimes have a major role in sports.
Also in football, having good physical attributes is one of the most important characteristics to become a professional player.
However, you can’t be a professional only with stature. Along with size, good technique and agility is needed to be a complete player.
In this feature, I will introduce five of the most impressive tall players in World Football.

KennedyEgbus Mikuni
Club: Avispa Fukuoka
Height: 192cm

He is one of the brightest talents of Japanese football.
The 19-year-old Avispa Fukuoka defender made his professional debut in the first leg of J-League 2019 season.
Despite his young age, he managed to shut down Sagan Tosu's legendary striker Fernando Torres in a friendly game few days before the season started.
This year he also played for the Japanese national team at the  2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Harry Maguire
Club: Leicester City
Height: 194cm

Maguire is the pillar of Leicester's defense.
When he was playing at Sheffield United, he was selected as the team's MVP for three consecutive years.
He is blessed of height, physical and power and he's able to overwhelm any opponent.
Now the two Manchester clubs are fighting for Maguire's signature. He has been also part of England national team since 2017, and played a crucial role for the Three Lions at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Club: LA Galaxy
Height: 195cm
No introduction is needed for this superstar.
While possessing plenty of strength and physicality, he is also blessed in power and flexibility.
If you mix those characteristic with his incredible self-confidence, you obtain a striker that nobody is able to stop.
Ibrahimovic is now 37 years old, but I think nobody can even think about him retiring from football just yet.

Gianluigi Donnarumma
Club: AC Milan
Height: 196cm

Blessed with incredible talent, Donnarumma made his Serie A debut at the age of 16.
In 2016, he was also chosen for the first time as a national team player, becoming the youngest goalkeeper ever selected for the Italian national squad.
Many clubs such as Real Madrid, Juventus, Paris Saint Germain showed interest in him.
Any club which buys this young talented keeper will not have to worry about their goalkeeper position for over 10 years.

Peter Crouch
Club: retired
Height: 201cm

Originally slated as the tallest active player for this list, Peter Crouch retired from football just a few days ago.
He was famous especially for the "robot dance" which he performed after finding the net.
He also wrote Premier League history by becoming the top headed-shot scorer of all time.
