FELDA United FC’s high-level determination helped the club win 5-1 over Kedah in the last Super League game last night.
This big win also confirmed that The Fighters will remain in the Super League this season when they finished 10th.
Commenting on the success of FELDA United, its coach, Mohd Nidzam Jamil is very pleased and happy with the achievement.
“The hard work throughout the training session and the spirit [were crucial in giving us] this victory,” Nidzam said.
“I did not expect to have a big win and Kedah in action with 10 players also allowed us to win this victory. I believe the motivation to ensure the club remains in the Super League helped us get over the challenges we faced.”
“I can now sleep before starting the preparations to face greater challenges in the Malaysia Cup campaign,” he said.
In the match last night, FELDA United’s five goals were scored by Jocinei Schad in the sixth minute, followed by Faiz Mazlan (32), Khairul Amri Kamal (85), Jazasrin Jamaludin (92) and Kei Ikeda (93).
The only goal of Kedah squad was scored by Jonathan Bauman in the 78th minute.
Meanwhile, Namibian player Lazarus Kaimbi’s contribution continues to help Pahang, who beat Melaka United.
Three goals in two consecutive games are expected to give Kaimbi the best motivation to help Pahang. Commenting on the performance of Kaimbi, Pahang operator Dollah Salleh noted that he was pleased with the 31-year-old striker.
“I admit Kaimbi has proven his ability as an attacker after joining the squad in the second transfer window,” said Dollah. “With that achievement, I hope he can continue the touch of the goal after not being very good in some previous matches”
“Kaimbi is always working hard to help the team and the effort to succeed especially when coupled with Dickson Nwakaeme in the attack.”
In the second transfer window, Kaimbi replaced Jose Eduardo to bolster the Tok Gajah attack.
Dollah, who is also a former national player, said Nwakaeme also showed positive progress after recovering from injury. He added that the two attackers were expected to help strengthen the front line as well as assisted the midfield and defense.
“I hope Helmi Eliza Elias and Mohd Faisal Rosli who have not recovered from injury can return to the team ahead of the Malaysia Cup.
“Their presence is very important to strengthen the team,” he said.
