Pahang coach Dollah Salleh is expected to bring his second team to face Melaka United FC at Darul Makmur Stadium tomorrow night. The former national player said everything should be fine as Tok Gajah’s squad wanted to maintain the momentum of victory.

“At the same time, the stability of the team is a priority in preparation for the Malaysia Cup campaign scheduled to start early next month.

“Of course I want Pahang to stay with the victory and the decision whether to bring the second team has not been made yet. Indeed we are [confirmed] as the Super League runners-up, this match is necessary to assess the current performance of the players,” he said.

In a meeting with Selangor on June 25, Dollah played his second team to the starting line-up with the 2-5 defeat.

When asked about his chances to pick up three points in his own ground tomorrow, Dollah firmly wants his players to finish the Super League with a victory. He said the 3-1 victory over FELDA United FC on Wednesday gave the best motivation to retain his performance at Darul Makmur.

“The attacking player was also requested to score a goal against Melaka United,” he said.

For a team in the relegation zone, Felda United head coach, Mohd Nidzam Jamil does not want to rely on Petaling Jaya City FC (PJ City) to beat on PKNP FC in the last Super League game to ensure their survival.

Instead, the former national player said, The Fighters maintained a focus on finding a way to beat Kedah on Sunday.

“Based on this situation, we have to win and can not expect PJ City to beat PKNP to stay in the Super League next season.

“The opportunity is still there and [I] expect players to give the best performances in the last league game,” he said.
