Melaka United coach Zainal Abidin Hassan has not been worried despite the absence of some key members of his squad.
Zainal said that missing key players due to suspension is not an excuse for the team to play poorly, even though he needs to change his strategy according to the differing ability of his players. He also emphasizes to his player to move aggressively to assist in the middle.
“Whatever I want to win in a match against PJ City that can help make a better leap in the league chart,” coach Zainal said in preparation for tomorrow’s game. “I am very confident that the Hang Tuah squad will improve on their current sixth place standing with the condition that three points will be rallied at this time,” he said.
Elsewhere, recently qualified FA Cup finalists Kedah will now need to shift their attention back to the Super League, as they face PKNP FC at the Darul Aman Stadium tonight.
The Red Eagles’ head coach Aidil Sharin Sahak said although his squad would play on their own ground, he does not want his players to take the visiting side lightly.
“PKNP is not an easy team because they are able to give us a tough challenge and therefore we have to work hard all the games in the quest for victory,” he warned his players. “PKNP is in desperate need to go out of the relegation zone and certainly come here for an important point and in 90 minutes anything can happen and if we are negligent, we can be punished.”
“Our goal is to continue the momentum of the FA Cup win,” coach Aidil asserted, “so I still want all the players to keep focus and keep the momentum of victory.
Aidil Sharin also hoped the supporters would support in the club in remaining four of the Super League matches. “The last four games of the Super League are very important for us not to lose points and at the same time maintain our unbeaten record at the Darul Aman Stadium this season.”
