Akira Nishino Attends Thai League Match (Khaosod)
The former Japan national team head coach is linked with the vacant Thailand job as well as other candidates such as Eusebio Sacristán and Yoon Jong-Hwan. The FAT president, Pol.Gen. Somyot Poompanmoung previously stated that the new head coach will be in attending a Thai League match and although Nishino is yet to be officially confirmed for the job, it's safe to say Nishino will be leading the War Elephant into the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers this September.

Nguyen Cong Phuong to Sign for Belgian Side Sint-Truiden (Football Tribe Asia)
Vietnam striker Nguyen Cong Phuong is set to sign for Belgian first division side Sint-Truiden, on loan from parent club Hoang Anh Gia Lai. Cong Phuong recently terminated a loan spell with K.League club Incheon United, where he made eight appearances and failed to find the net.

Galaxy of stars for JDT Charity Match (New Straits Times)
Malaysian Super League champions Johor Darul Ta'zim hosted a charity match, featuring some of the greats of professional football. The game will raise funds for the Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation, National Cancer Society of Malaysia and Women’s Aid Organisation. The participants included Rivaldo, Robert Pires, Claude Makelele, and Marco Materazzi among others.

Bambang Scores His 200th Goal For Persija (Persija Jakarta Official)
Bambang Pamungkas become the super-sub in the 2018-2019 Piala Indonesia semi-final against Borneo FC last Saturday when he scored the winning goal for Persija in the first leg with his trademark header. Bambang, the iconic number 20, first joined Persija more than two decades ago, with his time at the club punctuated by spells elsewhere. The striker finally scored his 200th goal for Persija Jakarta and he talked about how it was in the press conference, not only because it was his 200th goal, but because . it finally ended Persija's winless streak.
