Buriram United have continued to shuffle their deck in the recent transfer market, hoping to strengthen their squad ahead of the second leg of the season despite already securing top spot after 15 matches.

The Thunder Castle confirmed that they have added Dutch-Moroccan attacking midfielder Nacer Barazite to their squad, to fill the foreign quota slot left vacant by the departure of Modibo Maïga earlier in the season. Barazite joins the club from UAE side Al Jazira, having previously turned out for European clubs such as AS Monaco of France and FC Utrecht of the Netherlands. The attacker is also a graduate of the Arsenal academy, although he did not make an appearance of the Gunners’ senior team.

It has also been claimed by various news outlets that Buriram could release Brazilian striker Pedro Junior. Pedro joined the club at the beginning of the season and has managed to find the net 5 times from 13 appearances.

The reigning champions also recently signed Filipino star Kevin Ingreso, forcing them to make room in their ASEAN player quota. After some speculation, the club confirmed that the player that will be departing the squad is Luong Xuan Trong. The Vietnamese international will now return to his homeland and parent club Hoang Anh Gia Lai.
