The fifth week of Indonesian Liga 1 will be held from this Friday until next Sunday.
Actually, this week was already opened with a game postponed from Week 2 between Persib Bandung vs PS TIRA Persikabo that ended 1-1.
There will be two derby games this week. A Sumatra Derby between Semen Padang FC vs Badak Lampung FC held in Padang this Friday afternoon while the Kalimantan Derby pits PS Barito Putra against Kalteng Putra at the Banjarmasin on Saturday.
Meanwhile, on the same day, title holders Persija Jakarta will continue their hunt for their first win of the season when they travel to Lamongan to face Persela. The hosts are also seeking their first win of the campaign in what is likely to be a heated game.
Two big matches will happen on Sunday where Persib Bandung will meet unbeaten league leaders Madura United. Two days before meeting Becamex Binh Duong in the second leg of their AFC Cup tie, PSM Makassar will meet against Piala Presiden winners Arema at home.
Even though these fixtures are listed as the fifth game week, actually all of these clubs have only played three games after week 4 was canceled due to a schedule clash with FIFA’s designated international match days. The league operators are still seeking for the perfect week to re-scheduled it.
