After the final of the Panda Cup International Youth Football Tournament, an annual international youth football tournament held in China, the winning team faced criticism not because of what happened during the match but because of what happened after the match, as a Korean player was pictured with his foot on the trophy.

Along with the controversial photo, it was claimed that the players pretended to urinate on the cup.

The outraged hosts China decided to take the trophy back and claimed they would consider banning South Korea in the future.

The Korean Football Association issued a public apology, and promised to take the situation very seriously and hold a meeting to decide whether or not disciplinary measures would be taken in their official statement.

“We will strengthen our educational programs on sportsmanship and respect for our young players,” added by the KFA.

“Meanwhile we will strengthen our educational programs on sportsmanship and respect for our young players,” it added.
