Pahang had no difficulty in the FA Cup after stamping the Persatuan Integriti Bersatu (PIB FC) 4-0 at Stadium Darul Makmur. Dollah Salleh’s men dominated the game from the start and comfortably secured their progression. Wan Zaharulnizam scored Tok Gajah’s first goal in the ninth minute, followed by Ze Love in the 14th minute.

The Elephants earned a free kick in the penalty box in the 27th minute and the opportunity was utilized by Safuwan Baharuddin for the third goal. PIB FC attacked in search of a consolation goal, but Pahang continued their dominance, adding a fourth on the hour mark through Faisal Halim.

Meanwhile, Kedah managed a 3-2 win over second-division side Selangor United at the Darul Aman Stadium. While their victory ultimately secures their progression to the next round, their coach Aidil Sharin Sahak was less than pleased with the performance.

The side went two goals down against their unfancied opponents and came close to a shocking elimination. However, a revival in the second half allowed the Reds to snatch the victory. “This [was] not the actual Kedah in the first half and we have to take a break from this match as I said it is not easy for us to face them,” said Aidil.

Elsewhere, Melaka United was eliminated at the hands of fellow top division side PKNS FC after a tight match which ended 3-2 in favor of the hosts. Selangor FA also advanced to the next round, defeating recently relegated Kelantan by a  3-0 scoreline.
