Thai League runners-up Bangkok United have already begun their preparations for next season, after reportedly lining up three major transfer deals for some of the division’s top players.
As reported by TrueID, the club are set to announce their new arrivals on Wednesday, October 24th at 11am local time in Bangkok.
Looking to address a lack of attacking energy and creativity in their full-back positions, the club have reportedly reached agreements for Muangthong United stars Tristan Do and Peerapat Notchaiya, both of whom are full senior internationals who have played a starring role for their country at recent tournaments.
Tristan in particular comes off the back of an impressive season with Muangthong, being one of the side’s standout performers with six goals and nine assists – a return that earned him a place in Football Tribe’s Thai League Best XI for 2018.
The final signing will add to the Angels’ foreign quota, as they have reportedly reached an agreement for Sukhothai striker Nelson Bonilla. The El Salvador international had an impressive debut season in Thailand, scoring 25 goals to help his club stave off relegation and retain their top flight status.
Bangkok United’s acquisitions send a clear signal of their intentions to improve on their second-place finish and make a splash during their upcoming AFC Champions League campaign.
