Perak and Terengganu Prepare For Cup Final Face Off

The semi-finals of the 2018 Malaysia Cup have recently concluded, setting up an exciting clash at the Shah Alam Stadium next Saturday.

In the first semi-final, Terengganu got the better of Super League Champions Johor Darul Ta’zim. After a slim 1-0 victory in the first leg at home, the Turtles’ impressive cup run looked in jeopardy agains the might of the Southern Tigers.

The favourites flew into the lead back on their own patch, finding themselves 2-0 up shortly after the hour mark. However, a brace from Ivorian forward Kipré Tchétché was enough to see them through to an unlikely appearance on the big stage.

In the other final, Super League runners up Perak scored five without reply in their first leg encounter against Sabah FA, effectively putting the result beyond doubt even before their rematch yesterday. The 2-2 draw did little to worry the Bos Gaurus, who have a maiden AFC Champions League campaign to look forward to as well as as next weekend’s cup final.
