Southeast Asia XI of the Week (April 21 – April 23)

Staff from across our network nominated players from their local leagues who excelled last week, which saw several competitions such as the Liga 1, V.League, Thai League T1 and Malaysian FA Cup in action.

Here are our picks for this week's Southeast-Asian XI of the Week (April 21-April 23).

Goalkeeper: Khatul Anuar (Kuala Lumpur)

Khatul Anuar's brilliant performance against Selangor helped Kuala Lumpur to a 3-0 victory, although he wasn't able to win the match for his team in the penalty shoot-out.

Defender: Nguyen Tien Duy (Saigon FC)

A solid presence at the back, Tien Duy nullified Hanoi FC's most dangerous attacking threat - foreign attacker Oseni, to help his team earn a draw.

Defender: Victor Cardozo (Chiangrai United)

Victor scored the only goal to help Chiangrai United become the first side to ever win against defending champions Buriram United in the domestic league this year. He also nullified Buriram's deadly duo Diogo Luis and Da Silva, who had 15 league goals between them going into the match.

Defender: Abu Rizal Maulana (Persebaya Surabaya)

A solid performance from the Indonesian defender helped his team to a 1-1 draw against Srijiwaya in the domestic league.

Centre-midfielder: Chanatphol (Nakhon Ratchasima)

His masterful performance at the heart of Nakhon Ratchasima's midfield has yielded an assist which provided crucial for the team's 2-0 victory against Pattaya United.

Centre-midfielder: Nasir Basharuddin (Perak FA)

Nasir scored two goals to help Perak FA earn a 2-2 draw against PKNS in the quarter-final of the Malaysian FA Cup. However, his team failed to progress further as they were beaten 2-1 in the first leg.

Left Midfielder: Nguyen Huu Son (Saigon FC)

Huu Son scored the opener in Saigon FC's hugely surprising 1-1 draw against title-favorites Hanoi FC.

Right Midfielder: Riko Simanjuntak (Persija Jakarta)

Mesmerising performance against PSIS from Riko, who produced an assist to help Persija Jakarta to a 4-1 victory in the domestic league.

Forward: Bill Rosimar Amancio (Ratchaburi FC)

Bill Rosimar Amancio scored a brace to help Ratchaburi FC earn a draw against Suphanburi.

Forward: Patrick Cruz (Pahang FA)

Three goals from the hat-trick hero Patrick Cruz helped Pahang FA to a 3-0 victory over JDT in the quarter-final of the Malaysian FA Cup.

Forward: Ezechiel N'Douassel (Persib Bandung)

A brace from the Chadian striker helped Persib Bandung to a 3-1 victory against Borneo FC in the domestic league.
