Tianjin Teda’s John Obi Mikel ended his goal drought after scoring against Guangzhou R&F in Chinese Super League on Saturday.
Mikel Obi, who last scored a league goal in April 2017, netted his first goal of the season for Tianjin Teda in their 2-1 home win over Guangzhou R&F.
His effort helped Tianjin equalize in the 27th minute after Zhizhao Chen broke the deadlock for the visitors in the 9th minute.
Jiakang Hui then made it 2-1 for Tianjin Teda with a header in the 29th minute to give his side their second victory of the campaign.
The victory has put Tianjin in the eighth position of the 14-team Chinese Super League standings with eight points.
