At just 19, Samuel Lalmuanpuia was given the captaincy of Shillong Lajong for the 2017-18 I-League season, speaks volumes of the amount of trust Lajong management and Coach had on this phenomenal Lajong youth product.

Samuel Lalmuanpuia is a warrior at heart and never backs out from a challenge.Good from set pieces, Samuel is Lajong’s “go-to man” for penalties, corners and free-kicks and isn’t shy to throw his body in front of the ball.

Though Samuel wears the number 9 jersey, fitted with a pair of iron lungs he is all about running box-to-box throughout 90-minutes.

Samuel engine like work-rate and quality on the ball has made him a fan favorite at the club and could be a great sight for football fans, donning the Blues for Indian National team to add some character and fight in the midfield.
