Jiangsu Suning midfielder Ramires eager to return to Chelsea

Jiangsu Suning midfielder Ramires admits he would like to return to Chelsea before he calls time on his career.

The 30-year-old left Stamford Bridge in 2016 for a £25million move to the Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning in a shocking January 2016 deal.

Last November, Ramires spent time in Chelsea, where the Premier League champions allowing him to continue rehabilitation on an ongoing injury at their training base.

Recently, there have been reports claimed the Brazilian is close to a move to Inter. However, he revealed that he would like to make a return to Chelsea.

“I’ll always have a special affection for them and I want to play for them again before finishing my career,” said Ramires to UOL Esporte.

“I know the doors at Stamford Bridge will always be open to me and that wearing their jersey again would be spectacular.

“There’s been lots of talk about Inter, but nothing concrete has come my way, at least until today.

“Everyone knows Inter are a great club and that playing in Europe again is a wish of mine, but for now I’m thinking about helping Jiangsu have a great 2018.”
