
After the disaster in Piala Presiden, Persib Bandung are starting to strengthen their squad in preparation for the upcoming season. They started it by signing one of ex Indonesia U-19 stars, Muchlis Hadi Ning Syaifulloh.
Muchlis Hadi was recruited after as a request from the new head coach, Mario Gomez. Gomez reportedly asked for six new players and Muchlis is one of them.
The former PSM Makassar was the member of Indonesia U-19 that won AFF U-19 Cup in 2013. The year after, he played for Garuda Muda in the group stage of the 2014 AFF Championship, which was held in Myanmar. With the U-19 team, he scored seven goals from 23 appearances.
He was also the part of Indonesia U-23 team on SEA Games 2015. He scored a hattrick against Cambodia in the group stage.
The Mojokerto-born footballer joined Bhayangkara FC, last year Liga 1 winner in the beginning of the season, but he didn’t appear in a single match. To get more playing time, he moved to Semen Padang FC, but then again, he failed to register a single minute.
However, Muchlis is still considered a household name, especially for his achievement with Indonesia junior team.
