Kedah FA prepare to sign Indonesian star Boaz Solossa

Indonesian star striker Boaz Solossa has been reportedly ready to go abroad. Rumors circulating that he is ready to follow Evan Dimas, Ferdinand Sinaga, and Achmad Jufriyanto’s footsteps to play in Malaysia.

One club from Malaysia that has been reported submitting a bid for Boaz is Kedah FA.

Boaz’s future is still unclear because of his former club Persipura Jayapura’s complicated situation. Recently, they pull themselves off from PialaPresiden, a pre-season tournament, and even worse, they may not compete in the next league.

Boaz Solossa is now contracted temporarily by Borneo FC for PialaPresiden. There is little possibility that he will go back to Persipura.

According to SinarHarian, Kedah FA are still considering some Southeast Asia big names to fill the ASEAN slot. Boaz, along with Vietnam national team captain Nguyen Van Quyet, are regarded as the ideal candidates for transfer. Another star that is considered by Kedah is ex-Selangor FA footballer Andik Vermansah.

Boaz is seen as a favorite to sign for Kedah since team manager Ramon Marcotte is looking for an experienced Southeast Asia player to bolster their squad. Ramon will be looking to achieve more on the upcoming season, although his previous achievements (Malaysia FA Cup trophy, runner-up Malaysia Cup, and finished fourth in the league) are actually pretty decent.

For Boaz himself, this movement might be the best step he could take for his career since he is entering the peak of his career. He has won many things in Indonesia, and he could take his career further by moving abroad.
