Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) has reached an agreement to send three key Saudi players, including Yahya Al Shehri, Fahad Al Muwallad and Salem Al Dawsari, to Spanish La Liga in the January transfer window, according to reports from Saudi Arabia.
This move is included in the preparation of the Saudis for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, for which the country has qualified for the first time in 12 years.
According to the agreement, Yahya Al Shehri will join CD Leganés, while Fahad Al Muwallad and Salem Al Dawsari will play for Levante and Villareal outfits respectively.
Last October, SAFF president Adel Ezzat and Turki Al Al-Shaikh, who has been the newly appointed head of the General Sports Authority, flew to Madrid to finalize the agreement.
