PSM Makassar boss Robert Rene Alberts has been appointed as the head coach of the Indonesian Selection side in the friendly against Iceland.
The friendly will take place on Thursday at Maguwoharjo Stadium in Sleman.
World Cup-bounced Iceland are set to play two games during their tour in Indonesia, against national team side and an XI selection team, on January 11 and 14.
“I am grateful to the FA of Indonesia (PSSI) for the appointment as the head coach of the Indonesian Selection. We will start our preparation on 9 January in Jogjakarta – two days before the event,” said Alberts, as quoted by ASEAN Football.
“The game against Iceland will be very tough considering that they have qualified for the FIFA World Cup. We hope that we can put up a good show against the Icelanders.”
