UAE international striker Ahmed Khalil has joined Al Ain on loan until the end of the season on the deadline day of domestic transfer window.
The 26-year-old endured a miserable campaign in the UAE Pro League last year as his appearances were limited into two games due to injury, since joining on a free transfer from Al Ahli last summer.
Al Ain will hopefully get Khalil back to his full fitness when he links up with another UAE teammate in Omar Abdul Rahman and Sweden international Marcus Berg.
Khalil has appeared in 93 games for UAE national team side, scoring 48 goals in process.
He won the Asian Footballer of the Year in 2015 after leading his club to the final of the AFC Champions League and UAE to the third-place in the Asian Cup in the same year.
