UAE side Al Jazira have announced that French midfielder Lassana Diarra has officially left the club after a mutual termination of his contract.
The 32-year-old joined the Arabian Gulf League champions in April after leaving Olympique Marseille, but has not featured for the club since November as he was reportedly got an injury.
“Al Jazira Football Company terminate the contract with the French midfielder Lassana Diarra by mutual consent,” read a statement on club’s official Twitter.
Diarra moved to Asia after his contract was terminated by Marseille earlier in 2017, where he left the French Ligue 1 outfit following a breakdown of relationship between him and the club.
He previously enjoyed a top career in Europe when became a part of English Premier League clubs, Chelsea and Arsenal, as well as with Real Madrid in Spain.
