Winger Jakkit Wachpirom has recorded the first Thai player to score in J3 League following his goal against Cerezo Osaka U-23 in J3 League on Sunday.
Starting in the first line up for FC Tokyo U-23, Jakkit needed only a minute to fire into the net of Cerezo.
His teammate Taichi Hara double the lead for the capital-based club before Masataka Nishimoto reduced the deficit for Cezero and finished the match with a 2-1 victory FC Tokyo.
“I am delighted and impressed that the team won the game. I am also proud that I scored my first goal for the club,” Jakkit said, as quoted by FourFourTwo Thailand.
“Before the game today, the coach said that I had to play to the fullest and today I completed it. After the game, he congratulated me s the first Thai player to score.
“I am very grateful to the all the people who have given me advice and support to help improve my game and thanks to the fans for their support.”
With a victory in the last round, FC Tokyo U-23 wrapped their campaign at the 11th position in this year’s J3 League.
Jakkit Wachpirom joined FC Tokyo U-23 from Bangkok United this July. In Japan, he made 11 appearances and scored a goal so far.
