Indonesian young star Evan Dimas has rejected a transfer to Chonburi FC as he considers a move to Selangor FA.
The 22-year-old midfielder previously on Monday has announced his departure from Bhayangkara FC after helping his team to win Indonesia’s Liga 1 this season.
According to Goal, Thai League 1 side Chonburi have an offer on the table for Evan Dimas but it is less than the bid a Malaysian club had submitted.
It is believed that the Malaysian club is Selangor FA, which previously has beed reported to become a potential future destination for former Indonesia U-19 captain.
“We have been working on Evan Dimas’ transfer for long time and have met the principal agreements,” Jeerasak Chomthong, Chonburi’s director of media told Goal.
“But, there is an offer from a Malaysian club. The came to double the wage which we already offered to Evan Dimas, so he decided to join them.”
Several sources reported that Evan Dimas will join Selangor along with his Bhayangkara team-mate Ilham Udin Armayn.
