China announce 23-man squad for Serbia and Colombia friendlies

Coach Marcello Lippi announced the 23-man squad for the China’s friendly internationals against Serbia and Colombia later this month.

Guangzhou Evergrande’s Zheng Zhi will miss both matches due to injury, meaning the veteran midfielder will miss the chance to earn his 100th cap for his country. Until now, he has played 98 times for China national team.

Another notable absentee is the starlet Zhang Yuning, who is currently on loan at Werder Bremen from West Bromwich Albion.
