The Chinese Football Association has found no evidence of match-fixing in the Chinese Super League game between Tianjin Quanjian and Tianjin TEDA.
CFA set up a special task force to conduct the probe after making allegation to the game which saw Tianjin TEDA won 4-1 over Fabio Cannavaro’s Tianjin Quanjian on September 23.
However, after a month-long investigation, the CFA concluded that the Tianjin Derby clash was declared clear from the match-fixing claim.
“After a meticulous investigation into related clubs, federations, match reports, observer reports and video clips, no convincing evidence of match fixing was found,” the CFA said in a statement on Friday.
“CFA will continue to maintain sharp vigilance so as to safeguard the fair play of our professional leagues.
“If there is solid evidence to suggest any party or any individual involve in any violations of fair play, they would be severely dealt with according to the extant laws.”
Tianjin TEDA are currently in the 13rd of CSL table this season, while Tianjin Quanjian sit fourth and still on their course to qualify for Asian competitions.
