Datsakorn Thonglao was keen to pay tribute to Thailand national team members and fans after he chalked up a 100th international appearance.
The landmark arrived in his comeback for The War Elephants, with a lone goal from Teerasil Dangda sealing a 1-0 victory over Kenya at SCG Stadium on Sunday.
It was the first international game for the 33-year-old BEC Tero Sasana midfielder since he was last called up five years ago.
“Without supports from all of you (officials and fans), I wouldn’t be able to stand here,” said Datsakorn as it was quoted by The Nation.
The 100th cap made the former Muangthong United star shared the spot with Thai legend Piyapong Pue-on, but behind Tawan Sripan (110) and Kiatisuk Senamuang (134).
Datsakorn was a key player for Thailand when finished as runners-up the 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup campaign after losing to Singapore in the final.
