Asian Cup qualifier between North Korea and Malaysia postponed

The 2019 Asian Cup qualifier between North Korea and Malaysia has been postponed, confirmed by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).

On Thursday, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has been informed by the FAM that the Malaysia Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a travel ban on Malaysian nationals visiting North Korea.

In light of this information, the AFC has postponed the Group B qualifying match between North Korea and Malaysia, which was scheduled to be played in Pyongyang on October 5.

AFC  has not announced further information about this issue.

Malaysia are standing at the bottom in Group B after losing 2-1 to Lebanon and only managing a 1-1 draw against Hong Kong.
