J.League official Keiichi Yamamoto revealed that there would be up to five Thai players to land contracts at Japan clubs next season.
“Of course, Chanathip Songkrasin would be very good for J.League next season,” Yamamoto told Siam Sports reporters.
“I think there will be five Thai players following the footstep of Chanathip to join Japan football league. Many of them are seniors, and the rest will be young players. They will have chances to play in J2 League level.”
“The deal between the Thai league and J.League will certainly benefit both sides. The officials and players have been trying hard to connect these two leagues. “
