Indonesia came from a goal down to inflict an opening-day defeat on 2017 AFF U-18 Youth Championship hosts Myanmar on Tuesday.
Myat Kaung Khant opened the score for the home side in the 28th minute after converting a decent cross from Pyae Sone Naing following a quick counter-attack style.
The Garuda Nusantara began to dominate the second-half and successfully levelled the score through Egy Maulana Vikri’s header.
Egy, who is touted as new Indonesian Messi, sealed the points for Indonesia in the third minute of stoppage time with a left-foot strike from inside the box.
Indra Sjafri’s men will continue their Group B campaign against Philippines on Thursday before facing Vietnam and Brunei.
