Carlos Tevez: It is very difficult to come back to Boca Juniors

Carlos Tevez would return to China after recovering from a calf injury in his native Argentina, as confirmed by the Argentinian striker.

“I’m going tomorrow [Monday] back to China,” Tevez told TYC Sports reporter after presenting at La Bombonera Stadium to watch his former club Boca Juniors win their Superliga opener over Olimpo.

“People are asking me to come back but the contract is very complex and it is very difficult to come back now. The Chinese are not fools,” admitted the Shanghai Shenhua player.

“My head is on returning to China and prove to the people who trusted in me that I can deliver. ”

Tevez ended his second spell at Boca last December when he signed a two-year offer with the Chinese Super League outfit.

However, the former Manchester United player, who is earning a 730 thousand euros weekly wage, has struggled to meet up the expectation of Shanghai-based club.

He has scored just two goals in 11 domestic appearances for Shenhua this season, with various injuries restricting his availability to coach Gus Poyet.
