Myanmar blow away Brunei in 6-0 rout to advance to SEA Games semi-final

Myanmar U-22 have advanced to the SEA Games 29 men’s football semi-final after cruising past Brunei 6-0 in the third group stage match on Friday afternoon at Shah Alam Stadium.

Myanmar quickly dominated the match but their waves of attacks were denied by the Brunei backline.

It was not until the 23rd minute that Aung Thu opened the score for Myanmar. The 21 year-old-striker, who already got three goals to his name from earlier matches against Singapore and Laos, got his fourth goal before Si Thu Aung doubled the lead in the 40th minute.

Aung Kaung Mann added to the scoreline with a brace on the 73rd and 84th minutes, the first one came from the perfect cross of midfielder Maung Maung Lwin.

Maung Lwin turned goalscorer in added time before Than Paing found the net just minutes later to complete the scoreline.
