Indonesian young striker Ezra Walian is reportedly set to join English League One side Bolton Wanderers after attending the club’s trial for a week.
The 19-year-old has expressed his desire to remain in Europe and he is now looking for new club after being released by Jong Ajax in June.
Previously, Walian’s agent claimed that there are five clubs interested in his client, but now Bolton might have edged in front in the race to sign the Dutch-born forward.
“Ezra has attended a week trial at Bolton. Now we are in negotiation with the club, hopefully we could reach an agreement,” said Wide Putra Ananda as Walian’s representative.
Walian, a product of Ajax Amsterdam youth academy, has represented the Netherlands at youth levels but decided to play for Indonesia at senior level.
