Three 15-year-old players are included in the squad of the Timor Leste U-22 team in the AFC U-23 Championship qualifier against Vietnam on Wednesday.
According to Vietnamese media, the information of Timor Lester team is rarely to be heard as the underdog team traveled to Vietnam just two days before the clash.
Most notably, Timor Leste head coach has called up three 2001-born players, named Gumario Silva Moreira, Kornelis Portela, and Danilson Araujo, for the squad.
On the other hand, most of the players are at the age from 17 to 20.
Timor Lester U-22 will face Vietnam on Wednesday in Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam head coach Nguyen Huu Thang has targeted a big win for his team.
