Guangzhou Evergrande are currently looking into the possibility of suing Spanish giants Barcelona over continued attempts to sign Brazilian midfielder Paulinho, as reported by AS on Friday.
Guangzhou are considering an appeal to FIFA to sue Barcelona, in which they deem the Spanish La Liga powerhouse have spent weeks “harassing” a player who is under contract with Guangzhou until 2020.
The Chinese Super League club bosses have meet with the Brazilian striker and his representatives to inform them that there will be no further talks over the transfer.
Previously, it was reported that Barcelona have made two offers for Paulinho, one for 20 million euros, the other for 27 million. Both were rejected by Guangzhou.
Paulinho joined Guangzhou Evergrande from Tottenham in 2015 for €14 million. He helped the team to back-to-back league titles in 2015 and 2016, as well as the 2015 AFC Champions League title.
